Tribalbum Terms of Use
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms govern the use of the “Tribalbum” mobile app for iOS and Android (identifier com.opharana.tribalbum) and of this website, including the album in the browser (together, “Tribalbum”), owned by OPHARANA LLC, located at 99 Wall Street, Suite 1432, 10005, New York, United States, email hello@opharana.com.
By using Tribalbum you accept these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.
The essentials
- Tribalbum is free, with ads. The Family plan (per album) and “no ads” (personal) are optional: subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel them.
- The photos are yours. You only give us permission to store them and show them to your family.
- Upload only photos you have the right to share, with the permission of the people shown (or of their parents, if it’s a child).
- It is not a backup: keep your originals.
- Minimum age: 14.
1. What Tribalbum is
Tribalbum is a private family album. Whoever creates an album invites their family with two links: one to add photos and one to just look. Each batch of photos is published as a story on the album’s front page, the archive sorts them by month, and members receive notifications, put stamps (reactions) and comment.
2. Minimum age
Tribalbum is intended for people over 14. By using it you declare that you are at least that age.
3. Your account
Tribalbum doesn’t ask you to sign up: an anonymous account tied to the installation is created. If you delete the app or change phones without having saved your albums with Apple, Google or your email, you lose access to that account and we cannot recover it; you will be able to rejoin the albums with their link, and what you uploaded is still in them. You are responsible for keeping your ways of signing in safe.
4. Albums, permissions and family
- Whoever creates an album is its owner: they decide who joins, change permissions, change the links, remove whoever they want, hand the album over or delete it (with all its content).
- Share the links only with people you want to see the album: with them, anyone can join. If a link has been shared too widely, change it in Family.
- Whoever uploads a photo can delete it. The owner can delete any photo or comment in their album.
5. What you upload
Your photos, videos and comments remain yours. You grant us only a limited, free and revocable license to store them, make their lighter copies and thumbnails and show them to the members of the album where you publish them, for as long as you don’t delete them. We use them for nothing else.
By uploading something you declare that you have the right to do so and that you have the permission of the people who appear in it or, if they are minors, of their parents or guardians. You agree not to upload or write:
- unlawful, offensive, violent or sexual content, or anything that violates other people’s rights;
- images of people who don’t want to appear, or third parties’ personal data without their permission;
- spam, advertising or content unrelated to the album.
Zero tolerance for any content that sexualizes or endangers a minor: we delete it, close the account and report it to the authorities.
You can report a photo or a comment from the app; we review reports within 24 hours and may delete content, remove people from an album or close accounts that breach these terms. You can also hide, just for you, what a person uploads.
6. It is not a backup
Tribalbum stores lighter copies of your photos (2048 pixels on the long side) to share them with your family. It is not a substitute for a backup: always keep your originals on your phone or in your backup service.
7. Free, Tribalbum Family and “no ads”
For free you can create albums of up to 50 people, invite, view, stamp, comment and receive notifications, with ads, and upload up to 150 photos and 15 videos of up to 30 seconds each month. There are two optional purchases, with the price in your currency shown before you buy:
- Tribalbum Family is a plan for one album, with a number of spots (4, 8, 12 or 20 people). People with a spot upload with no monthly photo limit, with videos of up to 3 minutes, can save a whole month to their camera roll at once and see no ads. To prevent abuse, even with a spot there is a very high technical limit (3,000 photos and 200 videos a month). The plan applies to the album it is bought from; at the start, spots go to whoever pays, to the album owner and to those who upload photos, and afterward whoever pays or the owner can give and take them away whenever they like. If someone leaves the album, their spot becomes free.
- “No ads” is personal: it removes advertising for whoever buys it in all their albums. It does not remove the photo limits.
Both are auto-renewing subscriptions (the Family plan, yearly or monthly; “no ads”, yearly). They are charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm and, afterward, at the start of each period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. When you switch to a plan with more spots, the store credits the unused part of the previous one.
How to cancel: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Tribalbum; on Android, Google Play → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Tribalbum. You keep the benefits until the end of the paid period. Uninstalling the app or deleting your data does not cancel the subscription.
- Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We don’t see your card details.
- Digital content is delivered immediately; by accepting it you may lose the right of withdrawal provided for digital content.
- Refunds and payment claims are handled with Apple or Google.
- You can recover your purchase with “Restore purchases” using the same Apple ID or the same Google account.
- We may change the price; if the subscription’s price changes, the store will notify you beforehand and you will be able to cancel it.
8. A free month for inviting your family
For every 3 new people on Tribalbum who join your albums with a link that you shared, you earn one month (30 days) with the benefits of a Tribalbum Family spot in all your albums, up to a maximum of 12 months. A person counts as new if they join Tribalbum for the first time with your link. The months add to any you already have and our server counts them.
Free months have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed or transferred and do not affect a paid subscription. We may modify or end this promotion at any time, without affecting what has already been earned, and cancel rewards obtained with fake accounts or fraudulently. We never reward ratings or social media posts.
9. Advertising
The app shows ads from Google AdMob and, in Spanish, ads from TuIAgencia, the owner’s agency: an ad slot between the stories on the front page and, at most, one full-screen ad when you close the viewer of a new batch. Never on top of a photo. With “no ads”, with a Tribalbum Family spot or with the free month for inviting there is no advertising. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
10. Availability of the service
Tribalbum needs the internet to upload and view photos, and it depends on third-party services: we do not guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors. We may modify or withdraw features and, if it comes to that, shut Tribalbum down; if it were a permanent shutdown, we would give reasonable notice so you can save your photos.
11. Intellectual property
Tribalbum, its code, its texts, its design and its graphics belong to OPHARANA LLC or to third parties who have authorized their use. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable license to use it for private purposes. The typefaces Newsreader (Production Type) and Atkinson Hyperlegible Next (Braille Institute) are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
12. Limitation of liability
Tribalbum is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the owner is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of data or photos, or for what other users upload or write. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or consumers’ rights.
13. Relationship with Apple and Google
These terms are between you and OPHARANA LLC, not with Apple or Google, which assume no responsibility for the app, its content, its maintenance or its support. On iOS, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.
14. Changes
We may update these terms; the version in force is always the one published here, with its date. Substantial changes will be announced in the app.
15. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you act as a consumer, you keep the right to go to the courts of your place of residence. In case of discrepancy between languages, the Spanish version prevails.
